1. How do I open or reopen a claim, resolve
a benefits problem, etc.?
If you need to open a claim, reopen a claim or resolve a problem,
the TeleClaim Center is available to serve your needs. The TeleClaim
Center can be reached toll free at 1-877-626-6800. When you call
the TeleClaim Center, you will be asked to enter your social security
number and the year you were born -- using the numbers on a touch-tone
telephone. You will then be transferred to an agent who will take
the information necessary to file your claim. The hours for the
TeleClaim Center are 8:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday
and 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Saturday hours are 8:30
a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Best times to phone are later in the day and
towards the end of the week.

No, you must contact the Greater New Bedford Career Center system.
Many employers choose to use the Employer Services offered through
the Greater New Bedford Career Center system to take applications,
conduct interviews, and do testing when necessary. If you are interested
in the job please come in to the New Bedford Career Center at 618
Acushnet Avenue in New Bedford, or the Wareham Career Center at
48 Marion Road, Wareham and a staff person will help you.

For employers, the Greater New Bedford Career Center offers a wide
variety of services for your business needs. We offer access to
qualified applicants, applicant pre-screening, posting of jobs,
assistance with small and large-scale recruitment activities, workforce
training and other services. Our Business Services staff will work
with you to assist you in your specific business needs including
training through grant funding if needed.
6. Can I get free training?
There are many sources for training scholarships. If you would like
to find out if you may be eligible for a training scholarship, you
can register for a Career Center Seminar by stopping by the New
Bedford or Wareham Career Center. A staff member will meet with
you and discuss some possibilities. We offer everyone job search
workshops and help in finding a job.

8. How do I get to the New Bedford Career Center?
From I-195 East or West:
Take exit 15, (Route 18/Downtown)
Take Purchase Street exit. At the end of the ramp is a traffic light.
Take a left onto Purchase Street and proceed to the next traffic
light.
Take a left - go over the highway (Hillman Street) and proceed to
stop sign.
Take a left onto Acushnet Avenue and proceed ¼ mile to the
Career Center.
NOTE: It's the first brick building on the right
hand side of the street. Visitor’s parking lot is located
on the right side of building. Main entrance is on Acushnet Avenue.
9. How do I get to the Wareham Career Center?
From Boston and Points North
From Route 24 go south to Route 495 (Cape Cod). Follow 495 to Exit
1 (Route 195 West, Wareham/New Bedford). Stay in the right lane
to Exit 21 (Wareham, Route 28) because this exit comes up immediately.
At the top of the exit ramp turn left onto route 28. Follow past
the Police station (on right) and then bear right at the fork in
the road at the light (Texaco Station). Turn right onto the third
road on the right, which is Gibbs Ave (just before the Village Green
- Stone church on right). Follow Gibbs Ave to the end and turn left
onto Route 6. At the top of the rise, turn onto the second road
on the left into the parking lot. The Wareham Town Hall will be
on your right and across the parking lot to your left you will see
another building which is the 48 Marion Road (Wareham Multi-Service
Center). The Wareham Career Center is located in the Wareham Multi-Service
Center building. Take the elevator to the 3rd floor.
From Providence RI and Points South
From Interstate 95 go to Interstate 195 East. Follow Interstate
195 East to Exit 21 (Wareham, Route 28) and bear right off the exit
ramp onto Route 28. Follow past the Police station (on right) and
then bear right at the fork in the road at the light (Texaco Station).
Turn right onto the third road on the right, which is Gibbs Ave
(just before the Village Green - Stone church on right). Follow
Gibbs Ave to the end and turn left onto Route 6. At the top of the
rise, turn onto the second road on the left into the parking lot.
The Wareham Town Hall will be on your right and across the parking
lot to your left you will see another building which is the 48 Marion
Road (Wareham Multi-Service Center). The Wareham Career Center is
located in the Wareham Multi-Service Center building. Take the elevator

From Route 25 go to Route 195 West. Just after entering Route 195
bear to the right as soon as possible to take Exit 21 (Wareham,
